Abstract

Dikie rabano is one of the traditional arts with Islamic nuances in Nagari Bawan, Ampek Nagari District, Agam Regency. The function of Dikie Rabano in Nagari Bawan is for baok anak kaaie (going down to bathe), the prophet's birthday, circumcision, and malapeh niaiek (a form of gratitude to God). The musical composition work entitled "BAGUGUAH" comes from the traditional art of Dikie Rabano at the baok anak ka aie (going down bath) repertoire of Guguah Baarak songs in Nagari Bawan, Ampek Nagari District, Agam Regency. Dikie Rabano is usually presented in traditional events and thanksgiving events. The repertoire of Guguah Baarak's songs has an interesting musical case to develop where this song seems monotonous by playing the same rhythm pattern from the beginning of the performance to the end. The musical composition "BAGUGUAH" is done using the traditional approach method. Realizing ideas / ideas that come from the art of Dikie Rabano's repertoire of Guguah Baarak songs, by developing the patterns of the rabano game. Through the work of the musical composition "BAGUGUAH" the artist tries to present several forms of novelty in various aspects of working according to the concept offered. Using the Tradition approach, the artist wants to share musical experiences that can contribute to the development of the musical composition itself.
