Abstract

To be better is a romance drama that takes the theme of gender identity disorder. This fictional film To Be Better tells the story of a 20-year-old teenage girl, named Nala a 5th semester student at a top university in Jakarta. Nala has gender identity disorder, where she prefers to behave, talk, dress and have a haircut like a man. Nala was born from a broken home family but financially she is from the upper middle class. Lingga is a 20 year old woman. Nala's life is inversely proportional to Lingga's. Where Lingga was born into a harmonious family but financially belongs to the lower middle class. Nala and Lingga were friends, Nala was always there when Lingga feels down. Lingga has a trauma against men, she was hurt by men and made an impression on her and decided not to have relationships with men anymore. In making this scenario, the writer uses the concept of a three-act drama speech pattern, where there is an introduction to the character in the early stages, problems in the middle and problem solving in the final round. So that the story can be easily understood by.
