Abstract

Dikia Baruda is one of the arts with Islamic nuances in Nagari Andaleh Baruah Bukik, Sungayang District, Tanah Datar Regency, which is in the form of practicing dhikr which is performed rhythmically. Dikia Baruda's art is displayed at major Islamic events and other traditional events, the Dikia Baruda ensemble has several repertoires including Maulay, Celebration, Salamin Jamin, and Early Days. In Salamin Jamin's repertoire, it became an idea to make a musical composition, because in Salamin Jamins repertoire there is a uniqueness in the melodic vocals that are wavering and tambourine patterns that are repetitious in nature. From this analysis it can be based on a formulation formulation, creating a new musical composition originating from Dikia Baruda's art in Salamin Jamin's repertoire. The creation of this musical composition is done through a traditional approach with several processing techniques. The data used to realize ideas/ideas is based on field studies in the form of observation, exploration, material preparation, embodiment. Other data were obtained from audio recordings, libraries in the form of previous research books, and archives from the local area. Dikia Baruda is played in groups, this music is included in the arts with Islamic nuances because it is in the form of rhythmic recitation practices, Dikia Baruda's art is usually performed in a procession and also while sitting down depending on the context of the event and is played by 10-15 people.
